About Me

Hi! I’m Kinsi & I’m SO glad you’re here! I am a wife & mom to two little boys in my 30's, ​living in Paducah, KY. I’ve been a practicing Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for almost 10 ​years & currently specialize in virtual health coaching & Medical Nutrition Therapy ​Counseling.


First hand experience has led me to becoming The Weights and Plates RD. Before kids I ​was clinically obese, battling high triglycerides & unhappy in my body. Over the course of ​4 years (& 2 babies later) I lost 30 lbs through diet and at home cardio-based 30 minute ​workouts. But that is where my weight loss stopped.


I had plateaued & wasn’t even sure why. I was still overweight, insecure & genuinely ​thought something must be wrong with me - so I went & had every test ran to find the ​culprit. When everything came back normal, I knew that I in fact was the problem.


I had been ‘mindfully’ eating during the week, splurging on the weekends, & not actually ​meeting a weekly caloric deficit. I was doing cardio 5+ days a week, but I was not lifting ​weights to support lean muscle mass development, or getting in much movement during ​the rest of my day. I was fearing carbohydrates, over consuming ‘healthy’ fats, & under ​eating protein.


Once I came to terms with the fact that my body was not broken, it is in fact a wonderfully ​accurate calculator that adapts based on energy balance, I changed my daily habits in ​order to become an unrecognizable version of myself. I put down my excuses, picked up ​heavy weights, used food to fuel my body composition goals, & stayed consistent for over ​a year. Now - I am ready to share with you what I did to change by body & my life, not just ​as someone with professional experience, but as someone has been in your shoes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who benefits most from your programs?

Women & mommas, like myself, who think they cannot lose weight​ or who have ‘tried it all’ but still don’t have results they want​, who may be new to strength training, or who may need pro​fessional guidance & accountability to reach their goals.

How long are your workouts & what equipment will I ​need?

Each workout lasts about 45 minutes including a warm up, weight ​lifting & core. You will need a set of light, medium & heavy ​dumbbells, a chair & yoga mat. The exercises are beginner ​friendly, low impact & focus on foundational strength ​movements. Each program is customized to your fitness level & ​preferences, & your cardio recommendations are separate.

What sets you apart from most health coache​s and fitn​ess programs?

My programs are not: a group effort, cherry-picking workout app, ​30-day weight loss challenge or 6 week workout program. This is ​a one-on-one, you & me, time-to-grind commitment. It is a long-​term solution to achieve sustainable results & lifestyle change.

Do you offer payment plans?

Payment plans are not offered. However - for less than $100 a month ​you can learn how to eat to meet your nutritional goals & never have to ​purchase another program (plan #1). For <$5 a day (cheaper than a ​Starbucks latte) you can learn how to eat AND train to achieve & ​maintain results (plan #3). Or for only $15 a week you can train like a​ pro, change your body & learn to lift for life (plan #2).​

Are recipes included in the Meal Plan​?

Recipes are not included in the meal plan. The goal is to teach you ​how to eat with intention now so you can transition to mindful eating ​later. This is done by teaching you which nutrients to focus on & how​ to plan, plate & track your meals - tools which you can use forever,​ both in a variety of situations & to suit your personal food​ preferences. ​A grocery shopping guide IS included.

Is in-person Personal Training available?

In person training sessions are available for purchase in Paducah, KY. ​Each package includes 5 sessions. Please email me for further details ​if ​you are interested.
